Unveiling the Enchanting Connection: Outdoor Women's Gathering - Swell

This past weekend I had a pleasure to attend a first of it’s kind women outdoor conference Swell, an event organized by Tami Jo Benson, Founder of Outspring. A gathering of outdoorsy women and women-led outdoor brands.

We gathered at the picturesque and tranquil North Fork Park in Eden, Utah. We camped under the open sky, whether in tents, RVs, or vans, fully immersing ourselves in nature. Our time was enriched by insightful discussions led by remarkable outdoorsy women who are leaving a positive mark on the world.

The three-day camping weekend was a memorable experience that not only allowed me to make new friends but also provided me with some lasting and unforgettable lessons to take away.

  • Finding a community of kindred spirits is essential for all of us.

  • Establishing platforms for open discussions about uncomfortable subjects fosters greater empathy and connections.

  • We can all benefit from cultivating more self-confidence.

  • It's perfectly normal to feel drained and seek respite while still nurturing a desire to make a positive impact on the world.

  • The human experience is a challenging yet extraordinary journey, filled with moments of legend and epicness.

  • Supporting brands aligned with your values is crucial.

  • Don't assume that others will step forward to voice their thoughts; the responsibility often falls on you.

  • It’s perfectly fine to be naive or not have all the answers; sometimes, the best course of action is to simply take initiative.

  • The inspiring stories shared by outdoorsy women illuminated the path, reminding me that I too can make a positive impact on the world.

The weekend was filled with unforgettable moments, reminding us of the magic that can happen when we step out of our comfort zones and into nature. I left with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow in such a beautiful and inspiring setting.
