Here’s how our verification process works

2. Review & Verification

​

Once you submit request:

• Our team will review it

• We ensure you meet our minimum criteria: age requirement, documented experience, and ability to lead safe group outdoor events

• We may reach out for clarifications or additional info if needed

3. Approved → Verified Badge

​

When approved:

• We will notify you

• Your MyTrailPals profile will display a “Verified Host” badge

• Participants will see that badge and feel confident joining your adventures

​

4. Badge Validity & Renewal (Every 6 Months)

 

Badge Validity: Your “Verified Host” badge is valid for 6 months from the date of approval. After this period, you’ll need to complete a renewal to maintain your badge.

Why Renewal Matters:

• Outdoor conditions, safety best-practices, and equipment standards evolve rapidly; renewal ensures your credentials stay current.

• It reinforces trust: participants know you’ve recently confirmed your ability and compliance.

• It protects you, participants, and MyTrailPals by keeping high standards of leadership and safety.

  What Happens at Renewal:

• Update your profile: recent event history, certifications updated, current readiness to lead.

• Resubmit host verification.

• Once approved, your badge remains active for another 6 months so you can continue leading with confidence.​
